Welcome to our Privacy Portal.
Here you will find more information about how we safeguard individual privacy in our anonymised mobility data, complying with the EU and UK GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive (EU) and PECR (UK).
Cell Tower Data
We source cell tower data from our telco networks which records the cell towers pinged by an individual’s device as they journey throughout their day. We receive the location of the cell towers only, which means that the data only contains the general trajectory of movement of devices, not the actual location of any individuals (or their devices).
K5 Anonymisation
In areas where there are less than 5 individuals visible in the area served by a cell tower, the data is deleted from the dataset before it is sent to us.
Aggregate Data
All personal identifiers are removed and the anonymised mobility data is hashed with a randomly generated number before it is sent to us. We publish the anonymised mobility data in aggregate format i.e. only trajectories of movement in certain areas. This means that there is no way of matching the anonymised mobility data to an identifiable person. This ensures compliance with all applicable data protection law, but still enables valuable insights which can help you to identify mobility patterns applicable to your business.
Security Measures
We use best in class technology to store the anonymised mobility data. We use secure FTP to transfer the anonymised mobility data to our clients and the data is encrypted both at rest and in transit. CK Delta receive regular training in data privacy and always respect the confidentiality of the data.
